App Reviews

A list of very interesting apps that I come across, and some reasons why I like them and what I feel could have been better.

Dials - Re-imagining your Calendar

Dials is a very different take on your Calendar. I am pretty sure the product designer had envisioned and designed this for a watch interface and then decided to make a phone app out of it.

The design is so radical that I was taken aback when I saw this app. It was featured on Mattsapps on YouTube and I was compelled to download it and take it for a test ride.

Setting up Dials

Here is a quick video that shows how to set up dials. Sorry for the shoddy audio quality and stammering. I am not used to making videos. I hope to get better at it.

Using the Dial View

I went through many videos, went to their site and didn't find much content. Here is what I understood from the app.

Setting up a Meeting

Setting up a meeting is pretty cool. I got a little confused with the location set up for the meeting. Please skip through the part where I am a little confused.

The app is very interesting and a very refreshing experience while using your calendar. What I really love about it is the fact that it show you how much time you have before your next appointment. And this is very useful if you have a lot of things to do in the day and have to get your head down to business. I have been using the app for a week now and I really don't miss my conventional calendar. If you have installed the app, please let me know what you think in the comments below.
